Azhdarchids are a group of pterodactyloid pterosaurs that have specialized for a terrestrial lifestyle.
Most azhdarchids evolved in the Cretaceous period.

Quetzalcoatlus was an azhdarchid flying over a river and briefly resting, as Deinosuchus were stalking it.

Walking with Dinosaurs: The Movie[]
Quetzalcoatlus also appeared in the movie where it preyed on Pachyrhinosaurus juveniles and one was escaping the forest fire and was killed by Gorgosaurus. It should be noted that the genus name wasn't used or mentioned, as they were only identified as Azhdarchids.
Trivia[]
- While Tapejara has been reclassified as Tupandactyuls (much like when Ornithocheirus got reclassified as Tropeognathus), both genus are in the Azhdarchid category(see Wikipedia.org/category:Azhdarchids).
